Why Use Periculum?
There are a number of reasons to use Periculum over other solutions. Here are a few key points of differentiation:
Periculum's software and service evolved from experience in risk management, and has focused on serving the needs of risk managers first and foremost. Periculum staff includes credentialed insurance professionals, including ARM (Associate of Risk Management) and licensed insurance agents.
Periculum pays attention to the small details that gives us the edge over our competitors. One example of this is our scanned image quality:

Other companies scan images as 2-tone black & white files. Periculum scans documents as grayscale JPEG compressed images. As you can see from the examples above, Periculum's scanned documents are more easily viewed online, and printing the images essentially is the same as making a photocopy! Don't underestimate this difference in quality!
We even apply CASS certified "on-the-fly" US Postal Service address verification to the addresses of each vendor and insurance agent that may receive postal mail from our system. This adds efficiency and timeliness of communication delivery at a better overall cost for our clients.
Our midwestern location offers distinct cost advantages over several of our competitors. We have an ample supply of qualified labor, without having to contend with the enormous cost-of-living and business cost differences that are inherent in locations on either coast and many other large cities. Our service fees are competitive with the industry, but we offer more service for the same money...because we can.
We are all about certificate of insurance tracking. It's what we do. We're not a broker offering the service as a sideline. We're not a pure technology vendor who can twiddle bits and bytes, but can't understand the difference between 'additional insured' and 'named insured'. We're not an unrealistic service provider trying to push our vision of how certificates 'ought' to work on the established industry infrastructure. We are all about getting the job done as effectively and efficiently as possible for our clients.
Though we don't attempt to take the industry where it isn't ready to go, we do participate in industry standards bodies and groups (such as ACORD) to offer input and to help shape the industry's future. We are forward-looking and conducting active research & development. In summary, we serve today's marketplace effectively, and stand ready to lead tomorrow's marketplace boldly.
Also, Periculum Services Group announces a new service offering that is available free of charge to its clients: Access to insurance compliance information from wireless phones or PDA handhelds. Periculum clients with cellular phones or PDAs with wireless internet service and support for WAP/WML internet websites will be able to access insurance compliance information on their vendors and contractors from virtually anywhere.
Periculum clients will find this value-added service quite useful when they are in the field with their vendors and contractors, away from their office internet-connected computer. Now they can check the vendor's insurance compliance status from their web-enabled phone right there in the vendor's office or parking lot.
Director of Sales and Marketing Kerry Hilligus commented, "Periculum Services Group has always approached business from the perspective of our customers and their needs. In today’s business environment there are more responsibilities placed on fewer people due to down-sizing and cut-backs. Our clients need important information to be immediately available whenever or wherever they are. Internet hook-ups should not dictate the decision making process. In the past when you needed information right away you had to wait until you got back to the office or to someone else’ computer. We’re changing all of that. Once again Periculum is leading the way with technology that allows our customers efficient access to their information no matter where they are. It’s a great compliment to our service that helps ease the workload our clients face every day."
